ICYMI: #SaveLICH Meeting at Kane Street Synagogue

Community leaders, residents, elected officials and union members gathered at the Kane Street Synagogue on Valentine’s Day to rally support for LICH, which is in danger of being shut down. Opinion: Karl on Middagh Street Graffiti and More [VIDEO]

POLL: Would You Use the LICH ER in an Emergency?

LICH may be on the verge of closing and at the BHA’s recent annual meeting one attendee suggested that the prevailing attitude is that Brooklyn Heights residents simply wouldn’t use the hospital’s ER. That presumption may have been part of the calculus used to shut down the facility. Call BS on the ER theory? Agree? Vote in our poll after the jump.

No Trash Pick-Up on President’s Day

Tomorrow (Monday, February 18) is the Presidents’ Day holiday, and the Brooklyn Heights Association reminds us that there’s no trash pick-up. Monday recyclable pick-up will resume a week from tomorrow (Monday, February 25). Regular garbage pick-up will be on this Wednesday, February 20.
