It’s been almost a year since Bevacco opened and lifted the “Corner of Cranberry” curse that has haunted many eateries at 60 Henry Street for years. The Wall Street Journal published a short piece on the restaurant this weekend:
Bevacco [60 Henry Street] continues its Corner of Cranberry curse killing this week by adding lunch service. Mrs. Fink, Baby Fink and I enjoyed a great meal yesterday afternoon. Uova pizza, Bevacco burger and meatballs were super-fantastic! And with breakfast service coming soon, Bevacco should wash away memories of 60 Henry’s “bad old days.”
Our Karl Junkersfeld is such a man about town that the owners of Bevacco [60 Henry Street] invited him to attend their “soft opening” Thursday night. Karl’s kvelling and saying that the notorious Corner of Cranberry is no longer cursed. This…is a good thing. His video report after the jump.

It came down but now it’s back up — scaffolding that is — at 80 Cranberry Street. Looks like they’re itchin’ for another Brooklyn Heights Cheops Award.

It looks like the NYC Department of Health has shut down another Henry Street eatery, as Great Wall [60 Henry Street] appears to have been shut down. No one answered the phone there at 5pm this evening. BHB commenter Nick reports:
