This just in from Notify NYC: Due to Fire Department activity, traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge is being delayed in both directions. Consider alternate routes. Update: No further word from Notify NYC, but NY 1’s traffic page shows no unusual delays on the Bridge at this time (noon).

Overturned Truck on Eastbound BQE Near Brooklyn Bridge

This in from Notify NYC: Notification issued 01/30/12 at 8:40 AM. Emergency personnel are on the scene of an overturned truck on the eastbound Brooklyn Queens Expressway near the Brooklyn Bridge. As a result, the eastbound Brooklyn Queens Expressway is temporarily closed near Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn. Expect traffic delays and consider alternate routes.

Billboard Blown Down; BQE Blocked
