Traffic Delays on Brooklyn Bridge

This just in from Notify NYC:

Due to Fire Department activity, traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge is being delayed in both directions. Consider alternate routes.

Update: No further word from Notify NYC, but NY 1’s traffic page shows no unusual delays on the Bridge at this time (noon).

    Speaking of traffic delays, would the owner of the badly-parked gray minivan on Middagh St. in front of PS8 please swing your tail in? The trucks can’t squeeze between you and the cement mixer without plugging up the street for long periods, which results in some very annoying honking.
