Just now – tree down on Sidney Place

A 50-foot tree in the back yard of 34 Sidney Place was just uprooted by the post-Hurricane wind gusts and came crashing down on the back side of the building, causing some minor damage to the fraternity at 36 Sidney Place. Fire Dept is on the scene.

Tree Down on Columbia Heights

BHB’s Heather Quinlan sends in the photo of a downed tree on Columbia Heights. BHB super-commenter David on Middagh says, “The Columbia Heights tree was a small Honey Locust, and only the crown came down.” Qfwfq and I noticed that this had been cleaned up by about 1pm today.
