Tree Down on Columbia Heights

BHB’s Heather Quinlan sends in the photo of a downed tree on Columbia Heights. BHB super-commenter David on Middagh says, “The Columbia Heights tree was a small Honey Locust, and only the crown came down.”

Qfwfq and I noticed that this had been cleaned up by about 1pm today.

    For the record, it was PS8 parents. I cut it up with a cordless saw and Carlo pulled it to the sidewalk so emergency vehicles and everyone else could get by.

    But nothing compares to the cheer the Time Warner workers got when they walked through our lobby to restore cable service at 7:30 pm.
