The Brooklyn Eagle reports that at around 1:30 pm today a car lost control and rammed into the bus shelter on Court Street near Borough Hall.  The late model Nissan narrowly missed hitting shoppers at today’s Farmer’s Market. A Hole Bugs Nabe

BHB Newshound “Kris” writes: Here is a picture that I captured on my walk to the Clark Street subway station this morning.  This hole has been there for at least 2 months, not to mention another one just like it at the intersection of Hicks and Remsen. The only thing they’ve done is put a […]

It’s Not Proselytizing, It’s an Invitation

Last weekend our neighbors from the Watchtower were out in full force and knocking on doors in Brooklyn Heights to “invite” us to “Follow The Christ” to the annual District Convention of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. (It’s this weekend at Assembly Hall, 973 Flatbush Avenue, if you’re interested and not otherwise occupied by “worldly acts”.)

Citibank “Doorman”

This from a BHB tipster: Anyone else run into the “doorman” at Citibank on Montague this Sunday?  She was a lovely woman ranting on and on and asking for tips? Wonder if the cops ever came to take her away.

Who’ll Help This Bird?

Big Hole on Pineapple

Luckily it seems as though the DOT is on the case regarding this large crater on Pineapple Street between Willow and Hicks.  Someone was even kind enough to leave a six pack of brewskis for the fix it crew. Photo by Homer Fink

Kermit’s Bike Lane

As mentioned by many in yesterday’s Open Thread Wednesday, we have a lovely new GREEN bike lane on Henry Street (it’s a DOT experiment reports The Brooklyn Eagle). While we were busy at Dick Swizzle’s birthday party last night (and recovering this morning) McBrooklyn posted a nice photo of it today. We’re curious as to […]

“Busy Chef” Busy Copying and Pasting?

Among the many oddities that we are aware of surrounding the “Corner of Cranberry” (and there are quite a few), one of the silliest is alleged “copyright and trademark infringement”. Though that’s probably not the case, we’ve actually received a couple of emails about this, and a commenter “Capulets” brought it up again: Check this […]
