Friday, July 10,2009. Friday, July 17, 2009. The trucks keep rolling in with more fill material. After the jump, there’s a sea level view of the hill that’s grown near the center of Pier 1.

Park Progress: Piers 1, 6 and More (Nineteenth Report)
Friday, July 3, 2009. Friday, July 10, 2009. Again, we compare shots of Pier 1 taken from the north. Not much change in the topography, but some more tall poles have gone up.
Park Progress: Piers 1 and 6 (Eighteenth Report)
Friday, June 26, 2009. Friday, July 3, 2009. This week, we return to headlining comparative photos of the north end of Pier 1, as seen from the Brooklyn Bridge. The topography is taking shape, with a large central hill sloping gently upward from northwest to southeast. More photos and text after the jump.
Park Progress: Piers 1 and 6 (Seventeenth Report)
Friday, June 19, 2009. Friday, June 26, 2009. This week we focus on the south end of Pier 1, where there’s considerable visible action. The “Grand Canyon” has now been given a plastic lining. You can sign up to receive information about Brooklyn Bridge Park and updates on park construction, site tours, and other activities […]
Park Progress: Piers 1 and 6 (Sixteenth Report)
Friday, June 12, 2009. Friday, June 19, 2009. I’ve decided, for the time being, to feature comparative photos of Pier 6 in this weekly post, since I’ve now found a good vantage point–the roof of the LICH parking garage–from which to shoot it. Comparative photos of the north and south ends of Pier 1 follow […]

Friday, May 29, 2009. Saturday, June 6, 2009. (Friday was too rainy for a walk on the Bridge.) Again, the view from the north shows little change. But check out what’s happening on the pier’s south end after the jump.
Park Progress: Pier 1 (Thirteenth Report)
Friday, May 22, 2009. Friday, May 29, 2009. Again, the view of the north end of the pier has a plus ça change quality, though I wonder what’s the significance of the rectangular plot next to the Port-a-John near the bottom of the picture and slightly to the left. More photos after the jump.
Park Progress: Pier 1 (Twelfth Report)
Friday, May 15, 2009. Friday, May 22, 2009. Let’s face it. Work is at a stage where we’re not going to see dramatic changes from week to week for a while. Mounds of earth and rubble appear and disappear, or get rearranged (note the “twin peaks” to the right of today’s photo). One bit of […]

Friday, May 8, 2009. Friday, May 15, 2009. There isn’t much apparent change this week, though work continues to prepare the space for planting.
