There was plenty of action in and around Brooklyn Heights for Halloween yesterday. Things got going early with a parade and a party in the Pierrepont Playground. A family at Hicks and Montague streets, early afternoon. A “graveyard” on Garden Place. Giving out the goodies, Garden Place.

Scenes From Today’s Halloween Parade

This morning was cloudy, but there was no rain and the temperature was…temperate, so conditions were just about ideal for the Brooklyn Heights Halloween Parade. Saturday’s Spring Egg Hunt A Smash Success!

Kiddie Hawk – Big Bird Hangs Out at Pierrepont Playground in Brooklyn Heights

BHB reader “Alex” sent us this photo of what appears to be a City Hawk hanging out over Pierrepont Playground this weekend.  Hopefully he’s more mellow than the big fella we spotted chewing up a pigeon last year and more like the laid back chap who came to visit in the snow back in December 2010.
