“No Pants” Subway Riders Gather at Court Street Station

Alas, your correspondent wasn’t there with camera, but a neighbor reports that participants in Improv Everywhere’s 2011 No Pants Subway Ride were assembled on the Court Street subway station platform at about 5:00 p.m. Anybody get any pix? Stench in Court Street Station?

We’ve received a reader complaint (I’ve deleted the comment, because it was off the topic of the post to which it was appended) that the Court Street subway station (M and R lines) “smells like a latrine.” Has anyone else noticed this?

MTA’s Doomsday Headed Our Way

The MTA’s so-called Doomsday budget proposes some cuts in Brooklyn Heights and Downtown reports the Brooklyn Paper.  On tap for elimination are the full time toll booth at High Street A/C station near Red Cross Place and the Montague Street entrance to Court Street’s M/R station.
