The First Coat Is The Deepest: 2012’s Debut Snowfall

Light snow began tickling its way to the ground around 6 a.m., and continues to fall ever so delicately into the afternoon. Many streets were being promptly scraped by 10 a.m. This one doesn’t look major; enjoy its beauty. More pics after the jump.

Alternate Side Parking Rules Suspended Tomorrow

Notify NYC has announced that, because of the impending winter storm, alternate side parking rules are suspended tomorrow, Saturday, January 21, citywide. Parking meters and other parking regulations remain in effect.

Manhattan Bound Brooklyn Bridge Closed

According to Notify NYC as of 7:25 a.m., the Manhattan bound traffic lanes of the Brooklyn Bridge are closed because of flooding. We’ll keep you posted. Update: as of 1:30 p.m., Manhattan bound traffic is restored.
