This weekend — late night Friday, June 21 to early Monday morning, June 24 — the star of the no-shows will again be the 4 train, which will not be running to or from Brooklyn. Since 5 trains do not serve Brooklyn on weekends, this means there will be no service at the 4/5 platfroms at Borough Hall. 2 and 3 trains should be running normally and, for those traveling to and from Brooklyn, 3 trains will be making all the stops from Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College to New Lots Avenue normally served only by 4 trains. There will be no Manhattan bound service at High Street this weekend, as Manhattan bound A and C trains will be re-routed to the F line between Jay Street-MetroTech and West 4th Street-Washington Square. This means extra Manhattan bound service at York Street in DUMBO.
The following work week — Monday morning, June 24 through Friday evening, June 28 — the planned service changes are all for late nights and minimal. All week there will be no late night R service in either direction at Court Street or at Jay Street-MetroTech, but N trains, which normally follow the R route late at night, should be running normally. Also late nights all week there will be no Brooklyn bound service at York Street in DUMBO, but extra Brooklyn bound service at High Street, as Brooklyn bound F trains will be re-routed to the A/C line between West 4th Street-Washington Square and Jay Street-MetroTech.
These are the PLANNED changes affecting local service for this weekend and for the following week. Always check MTA Info for unplanned service changes that may affect local service or service on other parts of your trip, or for planned service changes that affect stations to or from which you may be traveling.
