Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

Hard to believe, but it’s another “green light” weekend, Friday evening, September 27 to Monday morning, September 30, as there are no planned – we stress PLANNED – service changes directly affecting service at any local stations.

The following work week, each night Monday, September 30 through Thursday, October 3, from roughly 9:45 to 11:45 p.m. there will be no 3 train service in either direction, as 3 trains will start and terminate at 34th Street-Penn Station. However, 2 trains should (we repeat SHOULD) be running normally, so there will be service in both directions at Clark Street and at the 2/3 platforms at Borough Hall. Also, each night Monday to Friday, October 4 from about 11:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. there will be no Manhattan bound service at York Street in DUMBO, as Manhattan bound F trains will be diverted to the A line between Jay Street-MetroTech and West 4th Street. To reach the LES stops on the F take a Manhattan bound A or F from Jay Street or High Street to West 4th, then change to a Brooklyn bound F.

These are the PLANNED service changes for the coming weekend and following work week. If you’re planning to take a train not affected by these planned changes, we urge you to first check MTA Info to see if there are any unplanned service disruptions.
