FDNY firehouses throughout the city are hosting open house events this coming weekend. Engine Company 205/Ladder Company 118, at 74 Middagh Street, will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5. That same day, Engine Company 224, at 270 Hicks Street (photo), will be open from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Smoke alarms will be provided to those who need them, as long as supplies last.
