Steve Levin is the man. Pierson is a spent hand.

If you voted at St Ann’s last year your voting location may have been changed to the Municipal Building on Joralemon Street. Check at http://nyc.pollsitelocator.com/Search.aspx

Please don’t turn today’s Open Thread into a political debate. Put your political comments on the article about Pierson vs. Levin. Thank you.

Read the Daily News today which describes a light filled above ground new library in glen oaks, queens. Why does Queens do Libraries better then Brooklyn?. Maybe the management of the Brooklyn Public Library should be contracted out to Queens… ?? They seem to know how to administer a better system

Does anybody know the guy in the orange shirt who leads many tours of the Heights on the weekends? He likes to embroider some of his stories and is not always accurate. I believe he is a neighborhood guy – no, I don’t mean Homer Fink – his tours are excellent and accurate.

Anyone know of a jewelry repair place they can recommend?

Anyone recommend a dentist in the area?

    Hi Brooklyn Heightsians, et. al.

Are you trolling, BrooklynBird? If not:

  • BrooklynBird

Nope, just wanted someone to clean my teeth.

    Thanks for the link.

You’re welcome. Sorry for the presumption of guilt; we sometimes mock-ask the questions everyone has been seeing for months and years.

Searching this site via Google is usually how I dredge up those Frequently Asked Questions:

Thanks, and no worries. It’s the internet.

Satnicks on State Street east of Court Street.

What’s going on with the renovation of Tazza on Clark Street? It looks like they are splitting the space into two distinct spaces.

  • Topham Beauclerk

    Ernie,

I believe you mean Borough Hall.

Is Great Wall the favorite restaurant of dentists?

  • Remsen Street Dweller

And while we’re at it, how about committing to vote for our Councilman, Steve Levin?!!

Sorry, Lois — this is too important.

  • wally

I lost my 2 front-teeth there on Saturday.

  • David on Middagh

I know what someone’s getting for Christmas!

    Another endorsement for Steve Levin:

Does anyone know if the police caught up to the phone grabber? (A thief wrestled away what I presume was a phone from a woman walking on Cranberry between Hicks & Henry. This was at about ten to seven this evening. He escaped onto the BQE, on foot, but lots of cops were on it…)

  • Therblig Gerblinson

Can anyone recommend a good Danish-language transvestite bowling league for kite enthusiasts of Lesotho-Japanese-Bulgarian ancestor? I also need a blimp repairman to help me with an insurance scam, if anyone knows a guy. Thanks.

  • Remsen Street Dweller

I think that one was covered a few years back. Don’t you remember?

  • HenryLoL

De Blasio is THE WORST. Even the NY Times thinks he is a joke. He wants to create a divide in this City and is shamefully trying to get votes by having the underprivleged think he will help get them more by punishing the terrible ‘rich’ people. What a laugh.

  • Remsen Street Dweller

Thanks, LOL — your opinion should be just the thing to put Bill de Blasio over the top.

  • HenryLoL

LOL. Believe me — you do not have many people who agree with your point of view.

  • Remsen Street Dweller

Yes, it’s really important to give the rich in this country even more than they already have and make sure that less fortunate people are deprived in every way possible.

Also sorry, Lois – Pierson does have a record to examine. He’s been on CB2 for a few years. How was his attendance? What is his voting record? ULURP (a kind of land use) votes are recorded by name, and could listed here on BHB. They could retrieved by a FOIA inquiry, if necessary. This would show us something of his record on development and developers. All the meeting minutes should be public information as well.

I’m not sure, but at the meetings I attended over the past few years (I’m not a CB2 member now), I think he sat in the back and didn’t say much.

How about it, Homer and friends?

  • DIBS

    Agree.

  • Andrew Porter

Tazza is a co-op or condo space, so it’s possible it’s being transformed into two stores.
