And the Beat Goes On…

From Notify NYC:

The New York City Department of Transportation, in conjunction with the Department of Sanitation, has suspended Alternate Side Parking Regulations Citywide for Tuesday, January 25, 2011 to facilitate snow removal. Parking meter regulations will remain in effect throughout the City.

The latest forecast is for snow early tomorrow, but temperatures rising to the high thirties in the afternoon. Sleet, and a high in the upper thirties, are expected Wednesday. It looks like a recipe for a slushy mess.

A friend of mine who lives in Park Slope was commenting on this same subject; she actually wrote to the DOT and got an auto-response.

If they could just extend it one more day, we won’t have to dig our car out of the ice on Wednesday, which would be very nice.
