Birds have begun their annual fall southward migration, and many kinds of them, including the Alder Flycatcher, photographed by your correspondent during a fall migration bird walk seven years ago, will be traveling through Brooklyn Bridge Park. That 2017 walk was led by Heather Wolf, author of Birding at the Bridge and now of Find More Birds. She has scheduled two fall migration walks in the Park. The first takes place this coming Saturday, September 7, meeting in front of Bargemusic at Pier 1, Brooklyn Bridge Park, at 9:30 AM. The walk is free, but you must get a ticket here. The second is on Sunday, September 15, meeting at the entrance to Pier 1 near Furman Street at 9:00 AM. This walk is also free; reservations are not required, but encouraged. The walk will be bilingual English/Spanish, and will be sponsored by the NYC Bird Alliance.
