Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

We’re calling this weekend – Friday evening, October 18 to Monday morning, October 21 – a “green light” weekend, as there are no planned – as always, we stress planned – service changes substantially affecting service at any local stations. We say “substantially” because on late nights through the weekend there will be no 3 train service in either direction, but 2 trains should – again we stress should – be running normally, so there will be service in both directions at Clark street and Borough Hall.

The following work week – Monday, October 19 to Friday, October 25 – each night from about 11:45 p.m. to about 5:00 a.m. there will be no Manhattan bound service at York Street in DUMBO, as Manhattan bound F trains will be diverted to the A line between Jay Street-MetroTech and West 4th Street. To reach the LES stops on the F take a Manhattan bound A or F from Jay Street or High Street to West 4th, then change to a Brooklyn bound F. Each night from about 9:30 p.m. to about 5:00 a.m. there will be no service to or from Manhattan at Court Street or the N/R platforms at Jay Street-Metrotech, as R trains will be re-routed and N train service in Brooklyn will originate and terminate at Court Street. To reach R stops between Atlantic Terminal and 95th Street-Bay Ridge, take an N to Atlantic Terminal and change there for a Brooklyn bound R. From Monday to Thursday, each night from about 9:45 to about 11:45 p.m. there will be no 3 train service in either direction, but 2 trains should be running normally.

These are the PLANNED service changes for the coming weekend and following work week. If you’re planning to take a train not affected by these planned changes, we urge you to first check MTA Info to see if there are any unplanned service disruptions.
