Your tribute brought tears to my eyes and a knot in my gut as I grieve for ‘Homer’s’ family…..I never met the man as I never took his tour and now I can’t….how sad, we, I put off things until it is too late. Your video helped me (ironically, there is a helicopter flying out back) know more about him, as did all the wonderful, kind and endearing sentiments of John on the BHB. I too had a tragic lost many years ago, so i ought to know that tomorrow is promised to no one….My deepest condolences to John’s family and friends.

    Excellent video, Karl. You know, you see someone around the Heights, and then, suddenly, unexpectedly, they’re gone, never to be seen again, never to be offhandedly greeted again. His loss diminishes the fabric of our neighborhood.

    Is there any word about funeral or memorial plans? And how might I help?
