Some good news: the sidewalk on the south side of Remsen between Henry and Hicks finally has been repaired.

I have been using Sam at Studio 78 on Clark St for color, cut and style for a few years with great results.

I tried that route as well, and they could do nothing except schedule another appointment for a technician because “only an on-site technician could tell TWC that plant maintenance was required”. (Oh for the days when life was simpler, and we didn’t have so many choices on TV, and John Cameron Swayze told us all the news we needed to know in 15 minutes.) Got to get my building wired for Fios.

Great photos of New York City from before WW2, at the Museum of City of New York:

There have always been sirens — I live on Henry and Joralemon, and if anything, there has been a decrease in ambulance traffic; when LICH was here, Henry was a main access point to the hospital. But I would gladly deal with more sirens if LICH (or another full-service hospital at that location) were back.

March 16, and tonight marks the first steady stream of loud teenagers moving from park to subway via Joralemon. I’m missing the winter already.

I was wondering Barbara, if you tried any of these suggestions?? Please let me know! Thanks.
