While we were enjoying Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks from the comfort of the BHB roofdeck, our man with a cam Karl Junkersfeld was out with the people checking it out up close and personal.

    Thanks Karl! I was on the promenade and specifically didn’t bother trying to photo/video any of the show because I knew BHB would have some footage. The fireworks on the Bridge were terrific!

    Karl, you’ve outdone yourself with this fabulous video. With your permission, I’ll forward it to friends who watched the fireworks from my apartment (one barge was blocked by one of the Cadman towers) and to friends in far-away lands.

    I was by standing by the fruit street seating area by the Promenade and didn’t even know there were fireworks shooting out from the bridge…duh! Also there were all these people standing on top of the Citi Bike racks which totally obstructed 75% of my view. Thanks so much for posting this fantastic video. I would have otherwise never known. I will now find a new spot to stake out for next year’s! Although watching the Brooklyn Bridge explode with fireworks made me feel a little nervous about it damaging the structure.
