Karl’s Video of the Macy’s July 4th Fireworks Will Make Your Day

While we were enjoying Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks from the comfort of the BHB roofdeck, our man with a cam Karl Junkersfeld was out with the people checking it out up close and personal.

Watch and enjoy!

Now if Karl had a drone…

And BHB reader Linda Kessler sends us these great photos:

Thanks for the video! I was down on Remsen and we could only see the top of what was coming off the bridge. It looks pretty awesome to see it from your video :)

Thanks Karl! I was on the promenade and specifically didn’t bother trying to photo/video any of the show because I knew BHB would have some footage. The fireworks on the Bridge were terrific!

Awesome shots of the Bridge fusillades. Thank you.

Thanks again for another fabulous video.

Karl, you’ve outdone yourself with this fabulous video. With your permission, I’ll forward it to friends who watched the fireworks from my apartment (one barge was blocked by one of the Cadman towers) and to friends in far-away lands.

I was by standing by the fruit street seating area by the Promenade and didn’t even know there were fireworks shooting out from the bridge…duh! Also there were all these people standing on top of the Citi Bike racks which totally obstructed 75% of my view. Thanks so much for posting this fantastic video. I would have otherwise never known. I will now find a new spot to stake out for next year’s! Although watching the Brooklyn Bridge explode with fireworks made me feel a little nervous about it damaging the structure.

My permission is enthusiastically granted. hehehe Thank you to y’all for the nice comments. Made a great weekend that much more enjoyable.

Here’s one that I processed from the roof of 55 Poplar – my friends have STUNNING images from my vantage point, much better than this attached one…

Taken from atop 55 Poplar. This was a great vantage point

Did anyone happen to see the “bluegrass-ish” band playing in the street near Pier 6. If so, and happen to remeber their name could you pass it along?
