Apart from the cancellation of all R and (late night) N service between Brooklyn and Manhattan through the Montague Street tunnel scheduled to last for the next fourteen months (more about that below), there are no planned route diversions, cancellations, or other changes directly affecting service at any local stations this coming weekend (Friday evening, August 9 to Monday morning, August 12) or the following week (Monday, August 12 to Friday, August 16). For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
Here’s the lowdown on R/N service for the foreseeable future: on weekends and late at night during the week there will be no R or (late night) N service at Court Street or Jay Street-Metro Tech, or in Manhattan below Canal Street, as R and N trains will be running over the Manhattan Bridge between DeKalb Avenue in Brooklyn and Canal Street in Manhattan in both directions. During the day and evening Monday through Friday R trains will run between Court Street and 95th Street, Bay Ridge on the Brooklyn side, and between Whitehall Street in lower Manhattan and 71st Avenue in Queens.
