There is only one planned route diversion that will directly affect service at any of the local stations this weekend. Brooklyn bound A and C trains will be re-routed over the F line between West 4th Street and Jay Street-Metro Tech. This means no service from Manhattan to High Street, although there will be normal service from there into Manhattan. North Heights residents returning from lower Manhattan would do well to take the 2 or 3, both of which will be running normally, to Clark Street. Those traveling into Manhattan on the R or N should know that they will be skipping the following stations: Prince Street, 8th Street, 23rd Street, and 28th Street. Brooklyn bound trains will be stopping at these stations, so you can reach Prince or 8th by going to 14th, or 23rd or 28th by going to 34th, and catching a Brooklyn bound train back. Alternatively, you can take a 2 or 3 to the 1 local, or a 4 or 5 to the 6, to get to a nearby stop.
The following week there are no planned service changes affecting local stations, but some late night changes affecting travel to or from Manhattan or Brooklyn. From midnight to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday to Friday, Flatbush Avenue bound 2 trains and New Lots Avenue bound 4 trains will be skipping Bergen Street, Grand Army Plaza, and Eastern Parkway. There will be normal service back to the Heights from these stations. Monday to Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., FasTrack work will cause F trains running in both directions to be diverted to the E (same as C) line between West 4th in Manhattan and Roosevelt Avenue in Queens. Perhaps because of this, C trains won’t be stopping at Spring, 23rd, or 50th streets in either direction between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m., when they normally stop operating, Monday through Thursday.
