BHA Annual Meeting February 22

The Brooklyn Heights Association will have its annual meeting on the evening of Wednesday, February 22, starting at 7:30, at St. Francis College, 180 Remsen Street (between Clinton and Court). The guest speaker will be Sam Sifton, formerly food critic and now National Editor of the New York Times, who grew up in the Heights, and who will talk about “the pleasures and challenges of Brooklyn’s burgeoning restaurant scene.” There will also be reports on the BHA’s activities, and time for questions and discussion.

    I hate the new “reply” feature. It means that one person, instead of replying to several people in a single comment at the bottom of the thread, will distribute comments all through a thread that the reader (me!) thought he was already caught up with. It means a lot more clicking around for… not much benefit.

    I’m thinking of several buttons we could add that would save a lot of keyboard time: “What a waste”; “This place is awful”: “Anglo-Dutch aristocracy”; (just for AEB) “Great Wall”. Any other contributions?
