84th Precinct Police Blotter – 8/24/11

bugleblotter-300x1711 Henry St. was hit by thieves last week. Meanwhile, $3,660 was stolen from 99 Cent City. It’s this week’s police blotter.

The Brooklyn Heights Wine Bar and Brooklyn Heights Cinema were both broken into last week. Combined they would lead to a delightful night of vino and independent films, but instead—the Cinema thief was arrested on the scene with latex gloves and a screwdriver, and the Wine Bar thief made off with as many potent potables as could be carried.

Planet Fitness had been suspiciously quiet this summer, but it’s returned to form with a vengeance. A gym perp broke into three lockers on Sunday and made off with wallets, credit cards and Prada sneakers. (Prada makes sneakers?)

Early Saturday morning on Joralemon and Court, a man was approached by two thugs who told him, “Your chain is nice,” and then proceeded to snatch it.

A 41-year-old man was punched and hit with a bottle last Wednesday on Hoyt and Bergen. He was treated at LICH and released.

Finally, a thief who thought bigger than 99 cents entered 99 Cent City on Hoyt St. and asked to use the bathroom. He must have opened the wrong door, however, because he somehow made off with $3,660. And that’s this week’s blotter.

And, my motorcycle was stollen from either Pineapple or Clark. Can’t remember which spot I was in. It was the bike with the number 16 on it. Any see a van scoop it up? Guess it will make the next blotter.

If you don’t know where you left it, how do you know it was stolen?

    Just sayin’…
