bugleblotter-300x1711 Wallets stolen! Pocketbooks stolen! Planet Fitness! Go know, it’s this week’s blotter.

At a Metrotech gym last Monday, a man left his wallet on the treadmill, and it proceeded to run away.

At ASA College on Willoughby St. last Wednesday, video surveillance recorded a woman leaving her wallet at her desk at 12:43, and a man stealing it at 12:50.

Your favorite gym (YFG), Planet Fitness, was the site of a locker room break-in; in this case, the victim stated he locked his locker with a Masterlock, but when he returned from his workout, his money and his pants were gone.

Last Saturday, a woman on Livingston St. noticed jewelry missing from her bedroom closet. The stolen items had belonged to the victim’s grandmother, and were worth $6,000. The report noted that furniture had been delivered to her place last month, though no suspects were named.

Sovereign Bank on Montague St. was the site of a robbery on Friday. A man handed a note to a teller that read, “No dye packs and no one gets hurt”; he then “simulated a weapon in his jacket pocket.” The thief made off with $2400 worth of 20s, 50s and 100s.

Later that day, a Pacific St. couple returned home to find their apartment ransacked; two laptops, a Kindle and assorted other electronics were stolen.

At Ocean Nail on Smith St. last Sunday, a manicurist put her bag down to wash her hands, and a man walked in the shop and took it. What does good hygiene cost? Apparently $400 in cash and $400 on credit. And that’s this week’s blotter.

Has anyone ever noticed the handy measuring stick next to the entrance to Sovereign Bank, so the police will know exactly how tall exiting bank robbers are? I guess you can also bring your kids there and measure their heights!
