Karl gets the video. “Both sides of street are without electricity from Henry [t]o Hicks excluding corner buildings on Hicks. Con Ed is working to correct this unfortunate development.”
Update: Karl reports that power has been restored.

    I just woke up from a restful sleep at 2:00AM and electricity is restored. Good night, I’m going back to sleep.

    As a Hicks and Middagh corner resent I was spared this act of god masquerading as Con Ed–or vice versa, actually.

    I DID see Con Ed people seemingly vacuuming out the world beneath the street last evening. Must keep those underground catacombs clean!

    It came back on about 12:30 AM and startled me awake, as I had left all the lights on in the bedrooom. Great way to start the new year…kind of felt like the original homeowner back in 1827.
