This is probably old news, but the notorious smoke shop on Henry street (between Orange and Cranberry) is now empty. It would be great if they opened a new business in that location. What would you like to see?

Has it been totally emptied out? When I walked by recently it still had much of the contents, though it was locked.

Brooklyn County Courthouse in 1896. This gorgeous building was demolished and replaced by the utterly bland mid-century Brooklyn Law School campus.

Here's an interesting video of Brooklyn in the 1940s that's been colorized and given a soundtrack. It opens with some Downtown scenes and includes some shots of the Heights at about 8:30 in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_KRd74kLDA&ab_channel=NASS

Maybe an adult "toy" store? Oh wait, scratch that, there's already too many dildos in this neighborhood!

I didn’t know it’s Adam Rubin’s store. If you have children, you are certainly familiar with his book Dragons Love Tacos. Even though they look silly, his books are actually very creative. They deal with time travel, metafiction and media disinformation. He also goes around to schools encouraging children to write. I hope he has great success with his new store!
