Sounded like a big emergency response to something nearby around 8:30 last night. Possibly a fire on Columbia Heights? Anybody know anything?

A proposal to add a coffee kiosk to the promenade is seeking community input.

I think it’s a great idea. Why not? So many locals and NYC guests are there I am sure they can do brisk business.

Didn't we already go through this discussion? What happened to the original kiosk, run by (disabled?) veterans?

Pierrepont, Remsen and State closed east of Henry today, while they repaved Clinton. Then Montague west of Henry closed while Con Ed replaced a cable. Result: traffic chaos!

Not in favor of starting down the slippery slope of commercializing the Promenade.

This is not for a kiosk on the Promenade or at the foot of Remsen (as the old experiment was located) — it's for using the lawn space adjascent to the Pierrepont playground.

Personally, I prefer that space gets a few picnic tables and gets opened up for birthday parties to use.

Anyone know the story about the 3 govt-surplus Suburbans with NH plates and always parked on the street in vicinity of State/Clinton intersection?

Glad they finally got to resurfacing it. They pulled up the old asphalt weeks ago. I don’t know why the city finds it so hard to resurface promptly after pulling up the old asphalt but it happens a lot.
