Last fall we reported that AltSchool, a private school founded by a Silicon Valley entrepreneur, would be opening at the corner of Hicks and Montague streets, in the space above Heights Cafe and Della Rocca’s (the address is given as 84 Montague, but the entrance is on the Hicks Street side). The school is accepting […]
We recently went on a trip back in time at some of the restaurants in the North Heights. Now it’s time to start doing the same down on Montague Street. What was there before today’s eateries? What do the owners want you to order if you stop by? Let’s find out! Our first stop will […]
As the photo shows, racks for the Citi Bike Share program have been placed along the west side of Hicks Street going south from Montague, in front of Heights Cafe, Dellarocco’s, and J McLaughlin. According to BHB Ten 2012 honoree Sahmi Rum, who mourns the loss of parking spaces, the racks were moved from Remsen […]

This just in from Greg at Heights Cafe — the restaurant will be closed for lunch today due to a photo shoot for Target at the eatery. UPDATE: It’s a shoot for Target’s in-store advertising. We eagerly await the Tinseltown flash, but as of right now they appear to be in the planning phase. The […]
A fire truck and two ambulances are parked on Montague Street outside the Heights Cafe, at the corner of Hicks Street. Inside the Cafe’s dining room, as of a few minutes ago, EMTs were performing CPR on a person lying on the floor.
