Overturned Truck on Eastbound BQE Near Brooklyn Bridge
This in from Notify NYC: Notification issued 01/30/12 at 8:40 AM. Emergency personnel are on the scene of an overturned truck on the eastbound Brooklyn Queens Expressway near the Brooklyn Bridge. As a result, the eastbound Brooklyn Queens Expressway is temporarily closed near Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn. Expect traffic delays and consider alternate routes.
Armed Robbery on Remsen
BHB contributor weegee alerts us, via Open Thread Wednesday, of an armed robbery that, according to Gothamist, took place at 114 Remsen Street yesterday at 2:14 p.m. The robbers fled in a vehicle that was stopped by police on the BQE. The robbers are in custody and a gun was taken.
