The fire broke out just before 6:00 this evening. No injuries were immediately reported, though the toll taken on the vermin population has yet to be assessed. It is not clear what caused the fire, though to this correspondent's nose, electricity seems to have been the culprit. Photos by Marc Hermann.
Fire at Henry Street Gristedes
p> Fire broke out late this afternoon at the Henry Street Gristedes in Brooklyn Heights. Store workers tell BHB that the blaze was caused by an electrical malfunction in the deli department. BQE Louder Than Ever in North Heights
Several folks have mentioned to us over the last few months that truck noises from the BQE have reached a new level on annoying. Of course living near a major highway is by its very nature a noisy endeavor but these sounds, according to witnesses, appear to more than just business as usual.
