This Sunday, March 26, starting at 3:00 PM, at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church, 157 Montague Street, the Grace Chorale of Brooklyn will present “We Will Rise — Music of Resilience Justice and Hope.” The concert features choral music by Fanny Mendelssohn (1805-1847); and by contemporary composers Margaret Bonds, with words by former Brooklyn Heights resident W.E.B. Du Bois; and composed by Nicole Russell. The concert will feature guest singers and musicians, and, for Ms. Bonds’ composition, a guest conductor. There’s more information and buy tickets here.
