Would you like to spend a spring Saturday morning on a walk through Brooklyn Bridge Park viewing bird life, guided by Heather Wolf, author of Birding at the Bridge? During the past week Ms. Wolf has spotted many species of birds in the Park, including the Downy Woodpecker (photo above by your correspondent on a walk with Ms. Wolf several years ago), Golden-crowned Kinglet, Eastern Phoebe, White-throated Sparrow, Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle, and Red-tailed Hawk. The walk will begin at 9:00 AM Saturday morning, April 1. The group will meet in front of Lizzmonade on Pier One, near the Fulton Ferry entrance to the Park. It’s free, but to limit attendance to a manageable size tickets are required. Tickets will become available on line at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 28. Click here for tickets.
