City Council Member Lincoln Restler will hold a Brooklyn Heights Town Hall meeting this Thursday evening, September 29, starting at 6:30 PM. The meeting will be held by Zoom; register here to receive information on how to join the meeting. Along with Council Member Restler, representatives of the Brooklyn Heights Association and of various city agencies will be present to discuss matters of concern to the community.
As we noted in a previous post, there are upcoming community discussion forums on plans for the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. The first two of these will deal with the entire BQE project, including but not limited to the portion below Brooklyn Heights. They will both be held on line. The first is tomorrow (Wednesday, September 28) and the second is next Thursday, October 6, both from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. These have the same content; you need not attend both. You may register here for either event. There will be two events focusing on the “BQE Central”; that is, the portion below the Heights. One is to be held in person (details as to where later) on Thursday, October 13, and the other virtually on Tuesday, October 18, both at 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Details as to registration will be provide later.
