    How would that work if you, say, wanted to drive to a doctor’s appointment? Or to a movie theater? Or to eat dinner in a restaurant? I get the “no overnight parking” – which would dissuade a ton of car ownership – but no daytime parking for more than one hour? That’s nuts!

    From what I understand, there was little enforcement and many people parked their cars on the street overnight. I’d bet the hour time limit was also laxly enforced and used more as a selective tool.
