You mean east of Court St.?

  • CassieVonMontague

    Yes, sorry.

Don’t feel bad; I do that, too. I call it “directional dyslexia.” One time a couple in a car asked me how to get to the Navy Yard. After they took off, I realized I had sent them toward Staten Island.

A question for neighborhood arborists – what is going on with the London plane trees in Borough Hall and Cadman plazas? Rainfall hasn’t been that bad, but they already look like they are ready for autumn.

Today, while walking past the homeless guy who hangs out on the stairs next to the entrance to the Key Food on Montague, I distinctly heard him say, “I should kill you.”

I tried to call 311, but got voice mail hell, so called 911. Now waiting for officers to show up at my home.

YIMBY always posts about the new high-rise on Schermerhorn, claiming it’s in the Heights, and I always post that they’re wrong.

The London Plane trees here in NYC always start losing their leaves in early August. They have a disease that causes this. Here’s a report in Gothamist in 2016 that addresses the problem on Cadman Plaza:

maybe folks will finally start getting the message that leaving their car there and accepting the ticket isn’t a great strategy.

IMHO, Brooklyn Heights ends in the middle of Court Street. Popeyes is in Brooklyn Heights but Bruno’s Hardware, the Transit Museum and 110 Livingston and are all in Downtown Brooklyn.

    Why you?

Why would the guy want to kill you?

Have you somehow wronged this homeless guy?

So much for NYPD you were correct to notify the police

This is confusing. You are proposing something that is already fact. What you are proposing to “start” calling Brooklyn Heights is already within the established boundaries of the Heights (which extends to Atlantic). What are we missing here?

Check the edit on Cassie’s original post.
Should have read east, not west of Court between Joraleman and Atlantic.
