Eli Smith, shown in the photo with a washboard during an impromptu jug band session, will bring his banjo and guitar wizardry and voice to St. Ann & the Holy Trinity this Thursday evening, August 12 from 6:00 to 7:00, performing what he calls down home music. He will also emcee and perform in the 2021 Brooklyn Folk Festival at St. Ann’s Church November 12th and 13th, about which we’ll be posting more later.
The concert is part of St. Ann’s summer concert series, that benefits the church’s “Pop-Up Pantry,” which provides non-perishable food and fresh produce to those in need. Those attending the concert are asked to bring food donations or make a cash offering to support the Pop-Up Pantry. Entry is through the church’s main entrance facing Clinton Street.
