It’s rare, but not temporary. I’ve only heard it three or four times since the buildings went up.

It’s been mentioned before in the open threads. Here is a mention from September 2016!

Cool, yes thanks for sharing that. I don’t think it would be related to the Pierhouse buildings. My guess is it’s related to the work in the A/C line. It just so happens this weekend when the Brooklyn bound A/C line is shutdown. They are doing that work the next few weeks. So, let’s see if that noise go away mid-week this week and comes back on next weekend…

    Exactly!

It looks like it will be called Inga’s Bar, or at least that’s what the small back room will be called at 37 Cranberry. There’s new signage on the front door saying the are applying for their liquor license there. The main dining room may be called something different.

Well, I guess it’s true, but the story of the Bossert certainly puts one on alert that timetables can stretch & stretch. Passed by it yesterday – a Saturday – and there is (to this casual observer) NO sign of movement, change, etc…. I would think that this would be an a.s.a.p. kind of thing. Also, it could be close to “turn key,” so I’m just a little nervous/skeptical. Yes, the old owners seem to have more fans on BHB than they strike me as deserving after some seriously off notes on their part early in the pandemic (re go-fund-me), so it’s easy to guess that they are the kind of sellers who assume they’re leaving a lot on the table when a serious buyer materializes and get very unpleasant very quickly to deal with.

Anybody see anything on social media from Mr. Rembold?

I took a photo standing in the middle of Henry Street at Orange, here:

A person posted a video of the noise on twitter.

NBA player Damien Lee got a bad case of Covid weeks after having been vaccinated with J&J.

    Apparently, it happens.

Yeah the food at Diner was good but overall it was a lot of pretentious hype.

Don’t really understand what’s so terrible about wearing a mask. It probably helps block pollen, and I didn’t have a single cold this winter.

    Yikes!

I did spot two Black people in the video, but they were on so briefly it was almost subliminal. One was having coffee near the beginning; the other was tending bar near the end.
