Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights And Vicinity

It’s almost a “green light” weekend coming up. The only service change affecting nearby stations is that, from 11:15 p.m. this Friday, May 6 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, May 9 there will be no G train service in either direction between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue. A and F trains trains provide alternative service. This will continue late nights the following week, 11:15 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday, May 9 to Friday, May 13. Those same late nights the following week, 11:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Brooklyn bound A trains will be diverted to the F line between West 4th Street and Jay Street-Metro Tech. This means no service from Manhattan to High Street. Use the 2 (except Monday night to Tuesday morning, when it won’t be running, though the 3 will be running as usual, so there will be service to and from Clark Street and the 2/3 platforms at Borough Hall), 4 to Borough Hall (no 5 service late at night) or N to Court Street (it replaces the R late at night). Study this carefully; there will be a quiz.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
