    Helicopter noise reduction does not make rotary wing aircraft any more safe…having tons of aircraft overhead especially with the new policy of having helicopters on stationary posts or doing long term figures eights over the Heights, (often at 1 to 3 AM!!!) All while neighborhood associations,, responsible press, pols and neighborhood “leadrrs” all look the other way, is simply very dangerous. Anyone notice the Helicopter Crash recently at Floyd Bennet Field? Keep talking about the. Noise and not doing anything else…see what can happen.

    That was the presidents security detail. He was fundraising in nyc all of monday. Those copters were not tourist grade chop chops. They rattled windows for several hours last night. Thank you president obama for fundraising in nyc. You have done so much for new yorkers.

    Noise, especially noise that destroys sleep, degrades our health. This is a no-brainer.
    When those in authority or in-the-know ignore noise, can we go beyond blogging about it?

    My solution to low-flying copters, proposed long ago, was barrage balloons, like in London during WWII. But for some reason no one takes me seriously…
