Homer’s pal/ Brooklyn Heights resident Tim Sommer may be familiar to many of you. Yes, he’s the guy who wrote the Brooklyn Bugle column “Remarkable Information”. That collection of totally made up history drew in many readers and fooled some too. But despite the huge readership of that column, many of you may know him because you’re a huge Beastie Boys fan. Folks of a certain age will remember him as the host of the highly influential radio program Noise, The Show on WNYU. Others may know him from his band Hugo Largo or as the guy who signed Hootie and the Blowfish to Atlantic Records.
