Thanks. Tried them — and I will use them again.

I haven’t always had the best service and have had a very bad taste in my mouth since they price gouged us during Hurricane Sandy. They were fined for it since I filed a TLC complaint about it, but that doesn’t make me want to use them ever again.

    Thanks.

I want to get a car to Philly at some point and need to looks around. I just don’t want a skanky car.

I know it isn’t required for a restaurant to provide a restroom for customers, if they have under a certain amount of seats. I am not sure of the number but it is pretty low. However, they must have one for employees.
You can call in a complaint to 311.

((rolls eyes))) It’s a friggin pizza joint for god’s sake though the lasagne is much better than the pizza.

That’ll teach you to leave without your Depends. :)

No, I think it was a Chinese Amway Convention/

Very disappointing. Also had a fish dish. Thick brown sauce on a plate with the fish plopped down. Awful. I haven’t seen fish plated like this since the 70’s.

During the last month I have been too busy to attend Save LICH functions because a close family member has been ill and hospitalized.

But now, as she is getting better — I want to let you know — LICH nurses, doctors and other staff — how much we need and appreciate you!

  • Andrew Porter

    Good one!

  • Moni

    Tried Arecibo. Very pleased, thanks.

  • Moni

No they weren’t. I had a nice little one bedrm on Joralemon for $70 a mnth, and much better (and affordable) local restaurants to frequent. Those were the days!

  • Moni

Why were you still patronizing Fascati’s, which once upon a time had a good reputation — but not for a very long time since. As for service, the rudeness is typical.

  • Moni

It’s only a “good one” if you are as rude as the pizza guy or as Andrew Porter. Having no toilet for customers is not the crime; speaking to customers like that is, however, unacceptable. Especially when Fascati’s product is far, far inferior to the Soup Nazi’s.

  • Eddyde

Car Service to Philly? Why not drive the Bentley.

  • Bklyn Jim

Anytime I’m spending upwards of $20 for baked ziti, salad & soda with tip it’s not to much to allow me to use the toilet. Basically, it’s just showing contempt for the customer; having to walk around to Vineapple is ridiculous & not fair to them. Thank you Moni for trying to educate ignorant Andrew but in the case of him & Dibs you might be casting pearls before swine(until it happens to them in which case you would hear the squealing.)

    oops–2 entries Ann?? hahahahaha!

  • Ann B Chapin

    you’re welcome!

Hts Limo wanted to charge me extra for dropping off my elderly dinner guest on Willow St. My home is on College Place and the only way to get there was to go by her building! It was Thanksgiving and we were coming from Henry’s End. I talked them out of it BUT– I try never to use them.

I’m still not used to seeing a US Mail truck making rounds on a Sunday. What a power play by Amazon. Can Brooklyn Heights unilaterally institute a delivery blue law?

  • Anon

Verizon was doing utility work on that section of the block (at 35 PP, I believe). They had trucks there on and off for the last 2-3 weeks, but it looks like it’s finished.

  • MonroeOrange

bc he obviously doesn’t have one!

  • Ann B Chapin

In the “ole days” of the “better” Fascati’s, I seem to remember a restroom in the back to the right? Help me with this-does anyone remember or am I dreaming??

  • Ann B Chapin

    Nice picture!

  • Eddyde

Yes that’s where the bathroom is, They use to let customers use it at will, then you had to ask for the key, now it’s only for the employees. I remember when they started phasing it out back in the early 90’s, they said it was a nightmare to keep clean as many tourists used it as a public restroom, though inner circle regulars could still use it.

  • Andrew Porter

Ooh, “Ignorant Andrew”. Almost alliterative! I live within a block, so don’t think I’ll need to use the facilities at Fascati’s any time soon.
