Plus ça change is the rule for planned changes affecting service at local stations this weekend. From 11:30 p.m. Friday, February 21 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 24 there will be no C train service in either direction at High Street or at Jay Street-MetroTech. A trains will be serving both these stations, but the A will not run in either direction between Jay Street and Utica Avenue. Shuttle buses will provide alternate service between these stations. If you’re taking the “train to the plane,” allow yourself extra time. Also, from 3:30 a.m. Saturday, February 22 to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, February 25 there will be no 4 trains running in either direction, but 5 trains, which normally don’t serve Brooklyn on weekends, will serve all of the 4 train stops in Brooklyn during this time. If you’re in Manhattan wanting to come back to Brooklyn and see a 5 train, you can board it knowing it will bring you to Borough Hall instead of stranding you at Bowling Green.
The following week there are some late night service changes affecting local stations. From 11:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday to Friday there will be no service in either direction at Clark Street, as 2 trains will be diverted to the 4 line between Chambers Street in Manhattan and Borough Hall, and 3 trains won’t be running at all. From 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday to Friday F trains in both directions will be diverted to the A/C line between West 4th Street in Manhattan and Jay Street/MetroTech, so there will be no subway service at York Street in DUMBO. Free shuttle buses will run between Jay Street and York Street, or use High Street station as an alternative. Also, C train service in both directions will end at 10:15 p.m. Monday to Thursday, but A train service will be running local.
