Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

There are no planned diversions or cancellations (apart from the ongoing R train mess) that directly affect service at any local stations this coming weekend (Friday evening, October 25 to Monday morning, October 28). The following week, starting at 11:45 p.m. Monday to Thursday and going to 5:00 a.m. the following morning, Manhattan bound A trains will be diverted to the F line between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street in Manhattan, so there will be no Manhattan bound service at High Street during these hours (the C train doesn’t run during these hours). To get to destinations in Manhattan from West 4th and above, take the A from Jay Street or York Street. To get to Manhattan below West 4th, use the 2 or 3 from Clark Street or Borough Hall, or the 4 from Borough Hall, as an option.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, see MTA Info or The Weekender.

  • Still Here

Thursday – All escalators at the A train High Street station (south) are out. I have not seen this in 25 years of daily use.
