Notification issued 10/11/13 at 11:00 AM. From 12:01 AM Saturday, 10/12 until 6 AM Monday, 10/14 the Brooklyn Bridge will be closed to inbound/westbound traffic. Motorists proceeding inbound/northbound from south Brooklyn via the Belt Pkwy and Gowanus Expwy should use 3rd Ave/Hamilton Ave into the toll facility Hugh L. Carey (formerly Brooklyn Battery) Tunnel as the best route into lower Manhattan. Motorists proceeding inbound/westbound from Queens/Long Island should consider the Williamsburg Bridge, or the toll facilities at the Robert F Kennedy Bridge or Queens Midtown Tunnel, for the best route into Manhattan. Additionally, the northbound/eastbound Brooklyn Queens Expwy will be closed between Hamilton Ave and Cadman Plaza West during limited overnight hours on Saturday 10/12, Sunday 10/13, and Monday 10/14.
