Apart from the R train tunnel closure (I can’t keep mentioning this for the next fourteen or more months, but I feel compelled to do so through the week after Labor Day, when most folks will be back from vacation), there are no planned changes directly affecting service at any local stations this weekend (Friday evening, August 16 to Monday morning, August 19) or the following week (Monday, August 19 through Friday, August 23). Those of you who, like me, occasionally change from the 2, 3, 4, or 5 to the A or C, or vice versa at Fulton Street (formerly Broadway-Nassau on the A/C) in lower Manhattan should know that this weekend (11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday) A and C trains won’t be stopping at Fulton in either direction. You can transfer between the A/C and the 2/3 at Chambers Street.
