Brooklyn Heights resident/Republican candidate for mayor Joe Lhota has a new TV ad. It basically says that the current crop of Democratic candidates is a “circus” and that New York needs a “serious” mayor. The spot does not mention his GOP opponents. Which is odd considering John Catsimatidis’ new ill-timed TV ad touting the city’s stop and frisk policy totally qualifies him for a pair of clown shoes.
NYD: Lhota, the former head of the MTA and a deputy mayor to Rudy Giuliani, focuses entirely on the other side of the aisle, making no mention of his own primary foes — billionaire businessman John Catsimatidis and nonprofit founder George McDonald — and pulling positive quotes about himself from the edit board of the Daily News, as well as the NYP and NYT.
