Brooklyn Heights Is A Good Place For Celebrity Spotting

Oh! Internet! How you entertain us! We found this passage on Crushable today:

Crushable: I had a friend from out of town visit recently and one day she was out and about in Brooklyn Heights without me. Later that evening she told me about how she saw Lena Dunham there who “sounded exactly like her character on Girls!” To which I replied, “No! Really?!” My sarcastic remarks aside, Brooklyn Heights is a good place to try to spot a celeb because it’s the nice, brownstone building, quaint-looking Brooklyn of television and film fame, rather than Bed Stuy or Bushwick of Where Regular People Actually Live fame. Movies are also frequently shot here.

Enough with allow the celeb nonsense. Who cares about all of the low level celebs showcased on this blog anyway? Never heard of half of them. Even if Meryl Streep and Robert Redford were walking down Henry Street, why the hell would you want to bother them? They are entitled to their privacy, you know. We don’t need some local yokel transplant going ga-ga over them.

Get over being a star-struck rube or go back to Ohio!

I saw her outside of her building the other day with her dog. She was very friendly and sweet – the dog is ridiculously cute and everyone was stopping to pet him (her?).

    Disqus riffraff. Why?

Bjork on Henry St. was THE best celebrity sighting I’ve ever had. Our eyes locked, but I pretended I didn’t know who she was, because that’s what real NY’ers do.

You” find all the star names you want embedded in the “Celebrity Walk” on the southern side of the Japanese Garden in the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens.
