In A Race Full Of Sexting, Joe Lhota’s Dispatches Provide A Respite From Tawdry Tweets

Mostly due to Anthony Weiner’s sexting scandal, all eyes are on the Democratic field for NYC mayor. On the Republican side, Brooklyn Heights resident/former MTA czar Joe Lhota is battling Gristedes kingpin John Catsimatidis and Doe Fund founder George McDonald.

Lhota’s tweets are not of the Weiner kind, but they’re also not boring policy wonk fodder either. Behold some of his recent dispatches:

You forgot the one from yesterday where he posted his interview on the Sean Hannity show.

I listened to the whole interview, somehow. Not what you’d call a “moderate”.

Also, for the love of god, this race could use some “boring policy wonk fodder.”

    Respite, not respit.

Aha! Re-spit is running for comPtroller.

I saw Catsimatidis filming what appeared to be a campaign commercial yesterday morning at the Montague St. entrance to the promenade. I don’t know if it was a subtle ploy to take on Lhota in his home turf or not.

Oh, I finally get it. I’ve long noted that this Blog is essentially a cheerleader for developers, under the guise of neighborliness. But now I see that it is also a has organ for the Republican Party, Weiner’s lamentable peccadilloes notwithstanding!

Another commenter says we’re all “uber liberals.” I guess we’re managing to offend equally.

LOL. Now that’s some huge comedy.
